Ser Steffon Darklyn slips away

One of the illustrations I had the pleasure of making for "The Rise of the Dragon, An Illustrated History of the Targaryen Dynasty, Volume One" by George RR Martin, Elio García and Linda Antonsson.

In this scene, Ser Steffon steals King Viserys' crown from King's Landing to offer it to Rhaenyra in Dragonstone. This scene might sound familiar, or maybe just partially. It was created in House of the dragon, but it was Ser Erryk instead who took the crown. Anyway, the scene itself was not shown, just the final result, which was the delivery of the crown to Rhaenyra during the coronation.
I tried to represent the scene as a reflection of what Ser Steffon might think by stealing the crown: a symbolic act of bringing the light and the hope in the middle of the fog, the darkness and madness of war.

"Ser Steffon was a member of the Kingsguard during the reign of King Viserys I Targaryen. When the Dance of the Dragons began, he escaped King's Landing and joined Rhaenyra Targaryen on Dragonstone when her half-brother, Aegon II Targaryen, usurped the Iron Throne. Fleeing in the night, Steffon arrived at Dragonstone with his squire, two stewards, four guardsmen, and Viserys' crown, allowing for Rhaenyra's coronation"
